By making a booking, purchasing a service or entering Tyfu, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to comply with our Rules of Play.

References to "you" or "your" mean the person making a booking, entering our premises or using our services.

2. Bookings and Admission

Bookings can be made through our website or through other booking methods made available by Tyfu.

A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully received and booking confirmation has been issued.

Please check your booking confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if any information is incorrect.

Admission is subject to our capacity limits, age restrictions, safety requirements and Rules of Play.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask a customer to leave where this is reasonably necessary for safety, legal, operational or behavioural reasons.

Our opening hours, prices and availability may change from time to time. The price applicable to your booking will be the price displayed at the time the booking is made.

3. Responsibility for Children

Tyfu is a play café and not a childcare or crèche service.

Children remain the responsibility of the parent, guardian or other accompanying adult at all times while at Tyfu.

The accompanying adult must remain on the premises and must provide appropriate supervision of the child or children in their care.

Tyfu staff are not responsible for supervising individual children or providing one-to-one care.

Where one adult is responsible for more than one child, it is the adult's responsibility to ensure that they can appropriately supervise all children in their care.

Parents and guardians are responsible for assessing whether Tyfu's facilities and activities are appropriate for the children in their care.

4. Rules of Play

Our Rules of Play are displayed throughout the Tyfu premises and are also available on our website.

The Rules of Play apply to everyone using Tyfu and form part of these Terms & Conditions.

By entering Tyfu and using our facilities, you agree to follow the Rules of Play and ensure that children in your care follow the rules appropriate to the areas they are using.

Our Rules of Play include specific requirements relating to the use of our soft play, role play areas and Adventure Castle.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask a customer to leave where they, or a child in their care, are not complying with our Rules of Play or are behaving in a way that may compromise the safety or enjoyment of others.

Tyfu reserves the right to amend the Rules of Play where reasonably necessary, including for safety, operational or legal reasons.

5. Age Restrictions

Our play areas are designed for specific age groups.

The soft play area is designed for children aged 0–8 years.

The Adventure Castle is designed for children aged 3–8 years.

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that children use equipment and play areas appropriate for their age and ability.

Additional age or suitability restrictions may apply to particular activities or events and will be communicated at the time of booking or before participation.

6. Play and Inherent Risk

Children's play involves an element of inherent risk, even when reasonable safety measures are in place.

Parents and guardians are responsible for assessing whether a child is physically and developmentally able to safely participate in an activity or use particular equipment.

We take reasonable steps to maintain our premises and play equipment and to manage foreseeable risks.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights or excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

7. Accidents, Injury and Illness

Children who are injured or unwell should not use the play areas.

If a child becomes unwell or injured while at Tyfu, we may ask the accompanying adult to remove them from the play area or leave the premises where this is reasonably necessary for their wellbeing or the wellbeing of others.

All accidents, incidents, injuries or damage should be reported to a member of the Tyfu team as soon as possible.

We will take appropriate action in response to accidents or incidents in accordance with our operational and safety procedures.

8. Hygiene and Clothing

Shoes must be removed before entering our play areas.

Socks must be worn by both children and adults when entering the play areas.

For the Adventure Castle, loose clothing, long drawstrings and jewellery should be removed where appropriate for safety.

We ask customers to remain at home if they or their child is unwell, particularly where they may have an infectious illness.

9. Food and Drink

As a café, we do not permit outside food or drink to be consumed on the premises. This helps us maintain food safety, manage allergens and keep our play spaces clean and safe for everyone.

The exception is food and milk specifically intended for babies and young children who are not yet able to eat from our menu, such as formula, expressed breast milk, baby bottles, purées and age-appropriate weaning food.

Please inform a member of the Tyfu team of any relevant allergies or dietary requirements before ordering food or drink.

We take food allergies seriously and follow appropriate food safety procedures. However, our premises handle a range of ingredients and allergens and we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

You remain responsible for deciding whether a particular food or drink is suitable for your child.

10. Behaviour

We want Tyfu to be a welcoming and respectful space for everyone.

Customers are expected to treat our staff, other customers and our premises with respect.

Rough play, pushing, shoving, aggressive behaviour, threatening behaviour, discriminatory behaviour or behaviour that puts others at risk will not be tolerated.

We may ask anyone behaving inappropriately or failing to follow our rules to leave the premises.

Where a customer is asked to leave because of their behaviour or failure to comply with our rules, no refund will normally be provided.

11. Cancellations and Booking Transfers

Tickets and bookings are non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend your booked session, you may be able to transfer your booking to another available date, subject to availability and our operational capacity.

Transfers are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of Tyfu.

Any request to transfer a booking must be made before the date and time of the original booking.

Once a booking has been transferred, the original booking date can no longer be used.

12. Changes or Cancellations by Tyfu

Occasionally, circumstances may mean that Tyfu needs to change or cancel a session, event or booking.

Where Tyfu cancels a booking, we will contact affected customers and provide an appropriate alternative, transfer or refund in accordance with applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the cancellation.

Where reasonably possible, we will provide as much notice as we can.

We may need to make reasonable changes to activities, timings, facilities or staffing where circumstances require this.

13. Parties, Events and Workshops

Parties, private bookings, workshops and special events may be subject to additional booking terms, age restrictions, capacity limits or conditions.

Any additional terms applicable to a particular booking will be provided at the time of booking and form part of the agreement between you and Tyfu.

The person making the booking is responsible for providing accurate information, including guest numbers and relevant dietary, accessibility or other requirements.

The number of guests must not exceed the maximum capacity stated for the booking.

14. Prices and Payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling and, where applicable, include VAT.

We reserve the right to change our prices from time to time. Price changes will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed and paid for.

Payment must be made using the payment methods made available by Tyfu.

A booking may not be confirmed until payment has been successfully received.

15. Website and Online Purchases

We take reasonable care to ensure that information displayed on our website is accurate and up to date.

However, occasional errors or omissions may occur.

If we discover a significant error relating to the price, description or availability of a product or service you have ordered, we will contact you and, where appropriate, give you the option to proceed or cancel the affected purchase.

Specific terms relating to a particular product or service will apply where these are displayed at the time of purchase.

16. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are subject to the validity period and conditions stated at the time of purchase.

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

Lost or stolen gift vouchers cannot be replaced unless we are able to verify the original purchase.

17. Personal Belongings

You are responsible for your own belongings and those of the children in your care.

Tyfu Play Limited accepts no responsibility for personal belongings that are lost, damaged or stolen on our premises, except where we are legally responsible for the loss or damage.

Please do not leave valuable items unattended.

18. Photography and Filming

You are permitted to take photographs or videos of your own child for personal use.

Please respect the privacy of other customers and do not photograph or film other children without permission from their parent or guardian.

From time to time, Tyfu may take photographs or film content for marketing, social media, website or promotional purposes. Any such activity will be managed in accordance with our applicable consent arrangements and Privacy Notice.

19. CCTV

CCTV operates throughout our premises for the safety and security of our customers, team and property.

Information about how we collect, use and retain personal information, including CCTV footage, is set out in our Privacy Notice.

20. Smoking and Vaping

Smoking and vaping are prohibited throughout the Tyfu premises.

21. Accessibility

We want Tyfu to be welcoming and accessible to as many families as possible.

Please be aware that Tyfu is located across the first and second floors of the building and is accessed by stairs. There is currently no lift access to either floor.

Our play areas and facilities are therefore not fully accessible to customers who are unable to use stairs.

If you or your child has an accessibility requirement, additional need or other circumstance that may affect your visit, please contact us before booking or attending. We are always happy to discuss your requirements and let you know what support we may be able to provide.

We will aim to make reasonable adjustments where appropriate and reasonably practicable, taking into account the facilities and layout of our premises.

22. Our Responsibility to You

We take reasonable care in providing our services and maintaining our premises and facilities.

However, Tyfu is a children's play environment and the use of play equipment involves inherent risks.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising children and assessing whether activities and equipment are appropriate for them.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights or excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

23. Circumstances Outside Our Reasonable Control

Tyfu will not be responsible for delays, cancellations or interruptions caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

These may include, for example, severe weather, fire, flooding, utility failures, building issues, equipment failure, government restrictions, public health emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where such circumstances affect a booking or our ability to operate, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and communicate with affected customers as soon as reasonably possible.

24. Complaints

We want you to have a positive experience at Tyfu.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your visit or our service, please speak to a member of the team at the time where possible so that we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.

If your concern cannot be resolved at the time, please contact us using the details below.

Email: hello@tyfu.co.uk

Please provide your booking details and as much information as possible about your concern.

We will consider complaints fairly and aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.

25. Privacy

Our Privacy Notice explains how Tyfu collects, uses, stores and protects personal information.

Our website may also use cookies and similar technologies. Information about these is provided through our cookie notice and consent mechanism.

26. Changes to These Terms & Conditions

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, services, legal requirements or operating procedures.

The latest version will always be available on our website.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms of a booking that has already been confirmed, except where a change is required by law or relates to matters that are necessarily ongoing.

27. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
