Tyfu was created by a parent, for parents. We know what it's like to need somewhere smaller, calmer, and safe, where you can see your little ones at all times, and still get a moment to yourself, that's exactly what we've built here.

Join us in our bright play café, with seating on both floors so you're never far from the action. Whether you're catching up with family and friends, meeting other parents, or just need five minutes to breathe while your little ones play with a good coffee in hand, this is your space too.

What Coffee Does Tyfu Serve?

Our coffee is from Crafty Smuggler, roasted in Swansea, served in handmade ceramic cups from Matt Jones Ceramics in Blackwood.

We know that when you're parenting a young child or a baby, a really good coffee isn't a luxury, it's essential. So we chose ours carefully, right down to the cup it's served in.

What Food Is Available at Tyfu?

Everything on our menu is made fresh on-site, using bread from Angel Bakery Abergavenny, pastries from Astrid's Petite Cuisine, and our range of cakes and brownies baked in house by us.

We've also tried to make our food a little healthier where we can, without losing any of the taste.

  • Yes, we have a weaning box, made specially for the smallest visitors at Tyfu. High chairs are also available throughout the café.

  • You place your order at our counter on the first floor, our menu's on the wall and you can find menus on the tables, we’re ready when you are. Grab a seat while we get it prepared, and we'll bring your order straight to your table when it's ready.

    We also offer takeaway options for our food and drink menu.

  • As a café, we do not permit outside food or drink to be consumed on the premises. This helps us maintain food safety, manage allergens and keep our play spaces clean and safe for everyone.

    The exception is food and milk specifically intended for babies and young children who are not yet able to eat from our menu, such as formula, expressed breast milk, baby bottles, purées and age-appropriate weaning food.

  • Tyfu runs seasonal drinks throughout the year, changing with the seasons, summer's current lineup includes:

    • Strawberry Matcha Cloud

    • Banoffee Iced Latte

    • Coconut Ube Latte

    • Bueno Matcha Latte

  • Yes! Getting a takeaway from Tyfu is simple:

    1. Ring the doorbell.

    2. Place your order: the full menu is on the wall by the entrance.

    3. Let the team know about any allergies.

    4. Wait downstairs while your order is prepared.

    5. Pay for your goods when you receive them.
