Tyfu is suitable for babies up to age 8. Our soft play is suitable from crawling age, and the adventure castle is recommended from age 3 upwards, with adult supervision.
Yes, Tyfu is fully air conditioned, so you can enjoy your visit in comfort all year round, even on the warmest days.
No, we do not have on site parking, the closest car parks are:
- Merthyr Road Pay and Display, Whitchurch, Cardiff, CF14 1DB
- Penlline Road Pay and Display, Whitchurch, Cardiff, CF14 2AA
You can also use on street parking if you can find any nearby.
We recommend factoring in time to park and walk over to us before your session start time.

Play areas are accessed via stairs so unfortunately we’re not accessible for wheelchair users. Prams and carriers can be left in our entranceway, if you need help please press the buzzer and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.

Bookings are recommended to avoid disappointment if we are full, but drops ins are also welcome.
Please use our online booking system, you will then receive a booking confirmation. Sign in at the counter on the first floor when you arrive.
Unfortunately our play sessions are non-refundable.

As a café, we do not permit outside food or drink to be consumed on the premises. This helps us maintain food safety, manage allergens and keep our play spaces clean and safe for everyone.
The exception is food and milk specifically intended for babies and young children who are not yet able to eat from our menu, such as formula, expressed breast milk, baby bottles, purées and age-appropriate weaning food.
Yes, ask about our weaning box, made specially for the smallest visitors at Tyfu. High chairs are available throughout the café.

Parents and guardians are asked to supervise children at all times, remove shoes before entering play areas, and be mindful of other children while playing. Full details are available on our Booking page.
Yes, parent or guardian supervision is required throughout the premises. Tyfu does not accept responsibility for the supervision of children.
