The Story Behind Tyfu Play

I built this for my girls, I hope you love it as much as we do.

I created Tyfu for my little girls and me, in the hope that other parents out there wanted the same thing.

Somewhere smaller, more intimate and safe. Somewhere you can see your little ones at all times and finally relax with a proper coffee.

Because as a parent, when you know your children are safe, you can breathe. And that's exactly what I wanted for myself, and for every other parent who walks through our doors.

Tyfu is an extension of me and my home, and that's the feeling I want you to have the moment you step inside. It was created intentionally by parents, for parents. We get it. We've been there.

This is a space created with you in mind, somewhere to give you a moment to breathe.

Who We're For

Mums (and increasingly more dads and grandparents too) with pre-school children who just need a little bit of respite. Somewhere their little ones can play happily while they enjoy a moment of peace.

Families catching up over coffee. Friends meeting for a chat while the kids play upstairs.

What Makes Us, Us

Proper coffee, always. Roasted locally by Crafty Smuggler Coffee in Swansea and served in handmade ceramics by Matthew Jones Ceramics in Blackwood. Coffee is part of the parenting survival kit, so we take it seriously.
Everything made fresh. Our cakes are baked in-house, our food is made from scratch, and we work with local suppliers like Astrid’s Petite Cuisine and Angel Bakery we genuinely love.
Small by design. We never wanted to create somewhere big and overwhelming. We wanted a space where you can see your children at all times and where it never feels too much.
Community at heart. From our makers' markets to supporting small businesses, we love being part of something bigger than just play.
Proudly bilingual. Welsh is at the heart of who we are, a language and culture that matters deeply to me, and something we're proud to weave into everyday life at Tyfu.
