Dathlwch y Nadolig yn y ffordd Tyfu

Step into Christmas at Tyfu where we are keeping the magic alive this festive season, from Santa and Mrs Claus, to hot chocolate and so much more

What does Christmas mean to you? To us, it’s that feeling we get when we hear that first Christmas song on the radio, or when we swap our pumpkin spice for gingerbread. The school plays, the cold evenings cosied up helping the kids write their letters to Santa, and their whispers to each other, hoping he will hear what they are wishing for.

It’s dancing around the living room to Mariah Carey while decorating the Christmas tree, and the anticipation of waking up on Christmas morning to presents and chocolate for breakfast.

It’s that feeling, and it’s about belief, imagination, and play, which are at the heart of what we do here at Tyfu. We keep the magic alive every day, but at this time of year, it means even more to us.

Because no matter how old you are, there’s always a place for curiosity, and at Tyfu, we make sure it never fades.

For our first Christmas, we are adding a little bit of sparkle and a sprinkle of belief to take you on a journey filled with Santa, Mrs Claus, and surprises around every corner. We want to create a magical experience that will make memories to last a lifetime and to cherish and share with your children and your community.

We’ve even been in touch with the North Pole, and the elves are delivering a letter from Santa to Tyfu!

They want to remind us that this season is a time to slow down, connect, and be present with loved ones. To help us do just that, they’re bringing two very special visitors, along with plenty of surprises and a sprinkle of Christmas magic for everyone to share.

Santa and Mrs Claus, along with the elves, will be joining us in Tyfu on Saturday 13 December. They told us that our play café is the perfect place to keep the Christmas magic alive for the children and their grown-ups.

The elves know how passionate we are about the Welsh language. It’s a part of how we play, learn, and connect as a community. So, they’re hosting a special Welsh-language version of the event on Sunday 14 December for those who want to celebrate a truly Welsh Christmas.

Tyfu will be transformed into a world of Christmas wonder. The children can decorate festive cookies with Mrs Claus, make Christmas decorations with the elves, enjoy some hot cocoa and sweet treats, and meet Santa in his festive castle.

We want you and your little ones to share this magic together, because somewhere deep down, even if we can’t say it out loud, we all want to believe in it just a little bit.

Our Christmas event is designed for you to connect with your children, and with our community at the most wonderful time of the year. It is a small, intimate event, so it won’t be crowded or chaotic, just a space to slow down and really enjoy that moment of seeing the little ones meet Santa, or just hang out with Mrs Claus.

Tyfu’s passion for child-led, open-ended play, which lets children be curious, explore and create in their own way, will be carried through into our Christmas event whilst allowing children to let their imaginations run wild, surrounded by sparkle and festive magic.

This is your chance to truly embrace the magic of Christmas and see it through the eyes of the ones who really make it magical for us, the children.

Join us at Tyfu on 13 & 14 December for a cosy, joy-filled Christmas experience. Capture those perfect moments, savour the hot chocolate, and make memories that will last long after the decorations come down. Keep the magic alive, and celebrate Christmas together, the Tyfu way.
