Mwy na busnes yn unig

When I envisioned Tyfu, I wanted to create a space that was as much for parents as it was for the children, and I have. It fills my heart with joy to see that what I have built has done exactly that.

But what I couldn’t have imagined, in running a business, is the community of women who lift each other up. Women who celebrate each other and empower each other every single day. It has truly become something special.

So, this month, for International Women’s Day, I want to use my platform to champion some of the women in my community. They have inspired me from the moment I met them and continue to push me forward every day.

Emma Davies

The Inner Work @embodiment_with_emma

Emma is my old yoga teacher. What started off as early morning yoga classes became so much more. She came into my life at a time when I was navigating some difficulties. I was at a crossroads, and she guided me to take a huge leap of faith.

I had the courage to make the change I knew deep down I needed and to follow my dream because she encouraged me to reconnect with my instincts, to follow them and believe in myself.

We recently collaborated on a ‘set your intentions’ workshop where she guided the group through a practice to visualise intentions and introduced the power of the moon cycles, something that has been vital in my journey. She has supported me from the very beginning and now it’s my turn to repay the favour and help her realise her own potential, with the community of women she is creating, The Inner Circle

I hope that I can be there for her the way she has been there for me, and that this helps her go on her own journey and pursue her own dreams.

By Simone Smith @bysimonesmith

This beautiful relationship started when we became each other’s customers and it has blossomed into something wonderful. She has become one of the strongest friendships I have made since opening Tyfu. She has shown up for me in ways I never expected a friend would so early on.

She joined Emma and me at our first set your intentions workshop, helping us to make personalised intentions bracelets. It just felt like the perfect collaboration, and a perfect way to bring her passion to other women.

We all need a friend like Simone. Someone who will show up, believe in you, and help you achieve your goals, even when they feel out of reach. And when you bring that shared energy, together anything is possible.

I am in awe of what she has achieved and want to shine a light on what a beautiful, hardworking, and supportive person she is. I hope her dreams unfold in the way she deserves.

Jules Millward

The Tired Type @the_tired_type

Jules is a mum of five and runs a small copywriting and social media business, alongside being a freelance journalist. She visited Tyfu in the first few weeks after we opened, and from that moment, we just clicked.

What started as a chance meeting has grown into a creative partnership. Jules now writes Tyfu’s blogs, helping to tell our story with her beautiful writing.

She inspires me with her ability to take an idea, even the ones that don’t make sense to me, and translate it into something clear and meaningful. From a vague thought to a random bunch of voice notes, she somehow captures my voice, my personality, and helps to shape Tyfu with her words. She just gets me.

Her quiet approach to life, and the way she balances family, work, and friendships is as inspiring as her writing. We understand each other, and I hope that by mentioning her here, she will start to believe in herself as much as I believe in her.

Jordan Darker

J.E.M Nails @j.e.m_nails

We connected over being mums, running our own businesses, and manifesting the life that we want. Jordan is, without a doubt, the kindest and sweetest person I know. From starting off as each other’s customers, to becoming friends, this is a relationship that is truly special to me.

Early on, when she shared with her audience about her visits to Tyfu, it brought so many new customers through my doors. I don’t think Jordan realises how kind she is, and the impact of that nature on the people around her, because a simple gesture for her had a huge impact for me, and that is something incredible.

What has surprised me the most with running a business is that I didn’t expect to meet other business owners who truly advocate for each other, expecting nothing in return. Jordan embodies that spirit. She is a genuinely supportive person who I have connected with on a deeper level, and I am truly grateful to have her in my life, cheering me on.

The Tyfu Team

The women I work alongside inspire me every day. From my full-time staff to my weekend Tyfuccinos. I have a team of incredible women, and I am grateful to be surrounded by such a capable and committed team.

There is a powerful energy between us right now. It feels full of excitement and possibility, like we are standing on the edge of something special, and that we can do anything we set our minds to, together.

I must give a special mention to Ceri Paines and Amelia Lord, my full-time staff. They are both mums, and both were sent to me by the universe exactly when I needed them the most. Their dedication to Tyfu is unwavering; they treat Tyfu with the same care as if it were their own.

I remember when I mentioned to some of the team that I wanted to start baking my own cakes, by that afternoon, they had mapped out a whole plan and got straight to baking. This is just one example of how they go above and beyond for me.

They are more than just my team; they are my constant companions in work and in life. They are my Tyfu family.

She Rises

March is a month for women to feel empowered and to stand up and say we are here, and we are all incredible. This month, to celebrate International Women’s Day, Tyfu is running two workshops.

The first, Feminine Intuition: The decision-making edge on March 8, will show you how to strengthen your intuition, and sharpen your decision-making skills through guided embodiment practice, aligned goal setting and personalised bracelet making.

Then the New Moon Ritual workshop on March 19, is a structured guided ritual designed to clear what’s complete and set one focused intention for the next lunar cycle.

Your success is down to the people around you who support you, encourage you, and make you realise anything is possible. Let March be the month you become empowered, and join Tyfu’s community of women who champion each other, because when women rise together, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.
