When I started Tyfu, I wanted to create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment, and to do that, I had to find the perfect team. I needed people who would become an extension of my own family, who would treat Tyfu as if it were their own and look after the customers just like I would.
My team are exactly that. From the moment you walk through the doors, they are waiting with a warm croeso, ready to pour you a hot coffee. They make you feel like Tyfu is your home away from home – somewhere you can relax and spend time with your children in a space created for everyone.
Of course, every family has its own unique characters, and we do too. These are the wonderful ladies who look after you at every visit. Meet the hearts and souls behind Tyfu.

Ceri
Ceri is your Tyfu aunty, our full-time manager and my right arm. While I am busy keeping Tyfu running in the background, she is the one out front making sure the coffee machine is working, the pastries are fresh, and keeps everyone smiling.
What do you love most about working here?
The delicious coffee and the fun team.
What’s the funniest or strangest thing you’ve seen on shift?
I once found a bag of wee in Tyfu!
What’s one thing people might not realise about working here?
The positive outlook our team has, anything is possible when we work together.
Describe the boss in 3 words
Outgoing, courageous, inspiring.
Amelia
Amelia is your second Tyfu aunty and our social media and events co-ordinator. She’s the one who creates lots of what we do online, from reels to carousels, she knows how important it is to keep our customers updated. Amelia brings our brand to life, making sure you never miss a thing.
What do you love most about working here?
The team. Everyone here is amazing, supportive, and genuinely fun to work with. As a mum myself, I love that I can have those real, relatable chats with other parents, whether that be staff or customers.
What’s the funniest or strangest thing you’ve seen on shift?
Watching grown-ups forget the space is designed for tiny people and bumping their heads on things will always make me giggle. The babies are fine, it’s the adults we need to worry about.
What’s your go-to snack or drink on a busy day?
Tuna Melt Focaccia!!
What’s one thing people might not realise about working here?
People don’t realise how much planning goes into everything behind the scenes. There’s a full start-to-finish process, from coming up with the ideas to finding supplies, editing, and scheduling. There’s so much thought and creativity that happens long before anyone sees the results.
Madi & Martha
These are your Tyfu cousins, Madi works the first half of the week, and Martha works in-between uni, helping out with events and parties. They both keep your coffee cups filled, and the snacks at the ready. They are the friendly faces behind the counter, bringing the energy, friendly chats, and the parties to life on the weekends.d will be a space to slow down, connect and grow, together.
What’s your role at Tyfu?
Barista/Baker
What do you love most about working here?
There’s a lot of variety. One minute you’re making drinks, the next you’re setting up play areas, helping a child “run” their pretend cafe or chatting with parents.
What’s the funniest or strangest thing you’ve seen on shift?
Walking into the toilet downstairs and seeing a pair of women’s trousers on the baby changing unit.
What’s your go-to snack and drink on a busy day?
Sourdough toast and a caramel hot chocolate.
What’s one thing people might not realise about working here?
I think one thing people don’t realise is how much emotional awareness the role takes. You’re not just supervising play. You’re constantly reading children’s moods, helping them feel included, and supporting parents as well.
Describe the boss in 3 words

The Tyfuccinos
Libby, Holly, Daisy, and Ailla are your ‘Tyffuccinos’. The ones who look after you when the grown-ups are away! They bring a different kind of energy when the weekend vibes are in full swing. They keep the weekend brunch menu flowing and make sure everything is running smoothly so you can enjoy that all-important time with your little ones while taking a breath from the chaos of the week.

What’s the funniest or strangest thing you’ve seen on shift?

What’s your go-to snack and drink on a busy day?
Holly: Caramel mocha with chocolate sprinkles on top.
What’s one thing people might not realise about working here?
Holly: The 30-minute clean up in between sessions does not feel like it, clean up makes
you SWEAT!
Describe the boss in 3 words
Ailla: Fun, gorgeous, sweet.
And that’s the team behind Tyfu. To us, it’s never just been about coffee and play, it’s more than that. It’s about connection, community, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome, supported, and relaxed, and the Tyfu staff bring this energy every day.
So now you know the names behind the smiles, their stories, and why I truly couldn’t do
this without them. They are my Tyfu family.
